Somebody just told us that Big 5 Sports store has better benefits then Mayo now. Many employees are complaining that they are double billed and the insurance isnt coming through for them. COBRA is sky high when the addendum came out a few weeks ago. It has doubled!!!! My friend who quit pays 1500 a month for a famiy. Give me a break!!!!!

I left Mayo a while ago. Argueably the smartest / doumbest thing I've done.
Being in middle management, I knew things I couldn't share. I couldn't handle the deception and inconcideration for employees.
Old line employees that haven't been anywhere else are hoodwinked into believing they have great benefits. They have nothing to compare to. Almost every whrere else I've worked has had better benefits.
They send out a yearly statement that shows how much they give toward your benefits. You can't even purchase additional coverage to get 100% coverage anymore. The Mayo employees are Mayo's biggest customer. They get everything back that they put into the employees and get to write it off as a employee benefit.
And those of us that have worked there know they aren't faultless. Far from it. They would be among my last choice for treatment.

I left Mayo in 2006 for better lands. Up north, well...cities. I was a transplant to Croch and after I realized that I didn't fit in with the mullet crew and/or the IBM/Mayo suit set, I was outtie. 2 years in and not worth my time at all.

So I left. Don't miss it. Love this board!!!!

I could write many horror stories while I was employed there. So many, such little time.
