Truth will out!

Here's a link to the U.S. Dept of Justice's website with details of the case where The Mayo Foundation, parent organization of the Mayo Clinic, paid the United States
$6.5 million to resolve some chicanery over the misuse of the federal grants program:

Mayo Dr. photographs patient's private parts during surgery.

Here’s a link to a story about a Mayo doctor who, allegedly, used his cell phone to photographed a patient’s private parts during surgery:

Lawsuit or settlement pending?

You can't trust MAYO ANYMORE

Partial quote from the Scottsdale Republic Newspaper:

"Dr. Adam Hansen, chief resident of general surgery at the Phoenix hospital, admitted to Mayo administrators he snapped the photo during a Dec. 11 gallbladder surgery on patient Sean Dubowik, whose penis bears the tattooed slogan, "Hot Rod."

After Hansen showed the photo to other members of the surgical staff, one phoned a Republic reporter on Monday and left an anonymous message about the incident.

Dubowik, 37, also first heard about the photo Monday, in a phone call from Mayo Clinic.

"I got a strange call after my surgery from a doctor who said there was a problem. He said Hansen was on the phone and would explain," said Dubowik, whose thoughts rushed to a medical complication.

Hansen told Dubowik that when he attached a catheter to the patient's member, he had shot a picture.

"He told me he didn't want me to read about it in the newspaper first," Dubowik said. Hansen claimed he erased the image almost immediately, Dubowik said.

An investigation has been under way at Mayo Clinic since a member of the surgical-support staff reported the incident last week. Hansen was not available for comment."

Mayo is such a nasty place to work that they will fight this and drag it out so long that the patient will wish he never went to the place. Not only that but he (and his Lawyer of course) can forget about ever going there for medical care (not that they would want to) again. Mayo sanctions anyone who sullys their immagined image.

They still trade on the wonderful reputation that Will and Charlie made years ago of being "the Best of the Best. Instead of leadership they rnow rely on compliant administrators who work against employees instead of with them. It is the worst of the worst now in so many ways that you can't count on the quality of care anymore that used to be a given.
Never going back there.
